［速報］Docker Enterprise 改め、Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR) リリース（Engine 19.03.13）

「Docker Enterprise」（3.1）が「Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR) 」という名称になったそうです。mcr.microsoft.com（mcr は Microsoft Container Registry の略）と略称がかぶっててややこしい。

新バージョンの Engine は 19.03.13 で、Docker Desktop Community (2.5.0.x）に追いついた。

Azure CloudShell がオープンソースに（ビルドしてみた）

だそうです。Docker で動く Azure CloudShell ツールのイメージのビルド環境が GitHub から入手可能に。issues や pull requests を受け付け。

Linux のコンテナー実行環境があれば、手元でビルドして試せます。zip をダウンロードして展開して（git を使わない場合）、展開先のルートに移動して GitHub に書いてある docker build コマンドを実行していけば完了。Docker のビルドのお勉強によいかも。

WSL2 Backend な Docker Desktop for Windows (以下は v2004 Home）でもファイルのパーミッションの関係でなんか文句は言われましたがビルドできました。たぶん、Hyper-V Backend な LCOW 環境でもいけるんじゃないかな？ ホストのメモリは 4 GB 以下だとキツキツかも。

Linux (ubuntu）ベースのコンテナーのわりに、巨大（base 7.72 GB、tools 8.8 GB）。

ビルドした tools_cloudshell から作成、実行したコンテナーの起動や動きは至極軽快。

 

 

11/24 追記）Ubuntu から Debian 10 ベースになるそうです。現在の Ubuntu 16.04 がライフサイクル終了近いため（Ubuntu 16.04 LTS は 2021-04 に通常サポート終了）。

追記：8/7 JST に 19.03.12 と 18.09.12 (2020-08-05）のリリースノートが消滅しました。何か問題があったのかもしれません。何があったか知りませんが install.ps1 は現在も 19.03.12 をインストールします。ご注意あれ。

2020/08/05 付けで Docker Enterprise v3.1 の更新バージョン 19.03.12 がリリースされました。これでDocker Desktop と共通エンジンに。

2020/06/24 付けで Docker Enterprise v3.1 の更新バージョン 19.03.11 がリリースされていました。

Docker Enterprise 3.1 GA

Docker Enterprise が 去年 11 月に Mirantis に買収されてから（Docker Community は Docker のまま）動きが無かったのですが、新バージョン「Docker Enterprise 3.1」（Docker Engine 19.03.8）が 5/28 PDT にリリースされたみたいです。Docker のサイトのほうには情報はなく（その後 Mirantis のほうにリダイレクトされるようになりました）、Mirantis のほうでリリース ノート公開されてます。3.1 のリリース ノートに明記されていませんが、3.0 の予告通りなら、Windows Server 2016 は 3.1 ではサポートされなったはず。

というわけで、現在は 2020-02-B のイメージ（1607~1909）は 2020/02/13 3~4 PT 頃に取り下げられ、2020-01-B のイメージが Up-to-date になってる。

問題のあるイメージ pull できなきなくて残念（？） 

バージョンｰKBXXXXXX タグで取得できるみたいだけど、以下の2つの nanoserver 2020-02-B イメージと 19.03.5 エンジン（Docker Desktop 2.2.0.3 で確認）と2020-02-B 適用済みホスト（18363.657）の組み合わせに限って言えば問題なく実行できた（他は未確認）。2020-01-B（or C/Dは?） 以前のホストと 2020-02-B イメージの組み合わせだと問題が出るらしい。

追記）更新されていない Windows 10 ver 1903 (2019-10-B 18362.418）のチェックポイントがあったので、1903（2020-01-B 18362.592） と 1903ｰKB4532693 (2020-02-B 18362.657) で試してみた。1903ｰKB4532693 のほうは 5 分たっても UPにならない。

2/25 追記）2/18 PST に更新されたイメージで再開

てことで、1909 タグの場合、2020-02B の 188363.657 (1909-KB4532693) イメージは取り下げられ、188.363.658（.657+1） イメージがやってきた。1909-KB4532693 は完全に抹殺されたらしい。イメージ作成日は 2/18 PT だけど、実際に利用可能になったのがいつかは謎（2/18 JST になかったのは確か、あることに気が付いたの今日）。

Azure Marketplace に Windows Server, version 1909 イメージがなかなか来ないけど...

Azure Marketplace で [smalldisk] Windows Server, version 1909 with Containers イメージを待ってるのですが、なかなかこない。18 か月の短い命の SAC なのに1か月半経過。

イメージは先月からあるけど、使っていいかよくわからないので待ってたんですが、以下の公式ページでも 2019 年 11 月から利用可能になっていると書いてあるので、使ってみるの巻。

メモ：Windows 版 Docker の Docker Root Dir を変更したい

Docker Enterprise for Windows Server や Docker Desktop for Windows は、C:\ProgramData\docker を Docker Root Dir（イメージやコンテナーのルート）としてインストールされます。Windows コンテナーのイメージはでかい。なので C:ドライブだと心配。

Q. Linux の Docker だと /etc/default/docker の DOCKER_OPTS に -g で指定できるらしいが、Windows だとどうすれば？？？

A. C:\ProgramData\docker\config\daemon.json に...

for Windows Server で気になるところは･･･

本日の Windows Update － 2019 年 5 月 15 日（B リリース、中継なし、KB4494441 は二度ベルを鳴らす）

（※初出時、日付を 16 日 と間違えてました。）

本日は、毎月恒例、第二火曜日（の翌日）のセキュリティ修正を含む更新日（B リリース）。平成最後の Patch Tuesday（の翌水曜日）。Windows の累積更新プログラム、.NET Framework の累積更新プログラム（久しぶり）、Adobe Flash の累積更新プログラム/セキュリティマンスリー品質ロールアップ（CU）、Office MSI のセキュリティ更新、Office C2R の更新バージョンあります。実況中継はありません。何か問題（事件）があれば書くかも。

今月の特記事項
・最近、ver 1809 とかで、1 回の更新では累積更新が入らないで、再起動後にもう一度インストールされることがあって気になる（履歴はどちらも成功） 。今月も KB4494441 がそれ。更新＆再起動後は念のためビルド番号を確認することをお勧めします。ver 1809 の場合、再起動後 winver 実行して 17763.503 でなかったら「更新プログラムのチェック」をクリックする必要がある（今日はたぶん安全日）。終わったと思っても、またインストール＆再起動されるかもしれないので。この現象、地味に手間。二度手間。Windows Server 2019 を含めかなりの確率で再現（1 回でいいやつもある。今月はこれでトータルの時間が増えそう）。→ 5/16 追記）この現象が KB4494441 の既知の問題に追加された。

（KB4494441 が 2 回くるやつは、KB4494441 の前提であり、KB4494441 のダウンロードに含まれて？インストールされるサービススタック更新プログラム（SSU）の KB4499728 がインストールされた時点でいったん再起動かかってるのかな？ KB4499728 を単体でインストールしてみると、再起動要求される PC とされない PC があった）


・Windows Server 2016 の場合も SSU の関連で 5 月の B より先に 4 月の D がインストールされちゃうかもしれない。Sconfig 6 > R（推奨）> S（個別） > 番号 と繰り返して、SSU と 5 月の B を個別選択すれば 4 月の D をスキップできる。SSU のあと、「設定」で「更新プログラムのチェック」でも OK。普通通りやっても 4 月の D のあとに再起動はさまず、5 月の B のダウンロードが始まる場合もあった。

・4月末から5月初めに新元号対応を含む 4 月のオプション累積更新（4 月の D リリース）がありましたが、その内容は今日の累積更新（5 月の B リリース）に累積されてます。
・上のパッチにあった Excel の一部フォント幅おかしくなる問題は、今日の累積更新で修正されている模様。

・Windows 10 ver 1809 と Windows Server 2019 の KB4494441 が二度来る（場合がある）件、今回は Microsoft Update カタログからダウンロードしてインストールしたほうが結局早いかもしれん。KB4497932（Flash）、KB4499405（.NET LCU 既定の 4.7.2 の場合は KB4495590、4.8 に更新済みの場合は KB4495618 をダウンロード）、KB4499728（SSU）、KB4497932（Flash）、KB4494441（2019-05 CU） の順番に。特に、複数台ある場合はこっちのほうが断然早い。

5/16 さらに追記）
・Windows の複数のバージョンで、Windows Defender （または MSE）の定義の更新が他の更新をブロックする現象に遭遇。タスクマネージャーで AM_Delta.exe や AM_Patch･･･.exe や mpam_･･･.exe を強制終了すると、進んだ。よゐこはまねしないこと。

Docker Engine 18.09.3 (Docker Enterprise 2.1)

2019/2/28 付で Docker Engine 18.09.3 がリリースされました。Docker Enterprise 2.1（for Windows Server）は更新できます。Docker Desktop（for Windows）はまだ更新版出てません（たぶん 2.0.0.4 として数日遅れて出るはず）。

Windows Server 2016 の Docker ホストの 1 台で、Update-Module DockerMsftProvider の実行時に「リポジトリ 'https://www.powershellgallery.com/api/v2/' 見つかりません」が表示されるようになったものがあるのですが（原因不明）、次のコマンドラインで修復できました。

PS C:\> Install-Module DockerMsftProvider -Force
PS C:\> Update-Module DockerMsftProvider

Install-Package ... -Update -Force が「警告: Cannot verify the file SHA 256. Deleting the file.」で失敗する場合は、↓こちらを参考に。

Docker Desktop 2.0.0.2 のプロセス分離対応の続報

Docker Desktop 2.0.0.2 と Windows 10 ver 1809 の組み合わせで Windows Server 2019 のベース OS イメージ（nanoserver:1809 や servercore:1809）の Windows コンテナーをプロセス分離（process isolation、--isolation=process、Windows Server コンテナーのこと）で実行できるようになったことを先月紹介しました。

Docker Desktop 2.0.0.2（Engine 18.09.1）、Windows Server コンテナー（process isolation）対応！(2019/01/17)

従来は Hyper-V コンテナー（Hyper-V 分離、--isolation=hyperv は Windows 10 では省略可能）のみでしたが、このプロセス分離への対応は Windows 10 ver 1809 以降で利用可能な機能であることを、念のため確認完了。

"Error response from daemon: Windows client operating systems earlier than version 1809 can only run Hyper-V containers."

"デーモン閣下からのエラー応答：バージョン 1809 より前の Windows クライアント オペレーティング システムは、Hyper-V コンテナーのみを実行可。"

Windows 10 に Docker CLI だけをインストールする 2（+1）の方法

※ 2021/09/02）この投稿は 2019 年 1 月のものです。現在 は状況が変わってますのでご注意。（Docker CE なんてもうないし、Docker Personal/Pro/Team/Business になっちゃったし）（WSL 2 バックエンドの Docker Desktop であれば、WSL Integration で WSL 2 の Linux に Docker CLI を簡単に利用可能にできるなど）

本日は、毎月恒例、第二火曜日（の翌日）のセキュリティ修正を含む更新日（B リリース）。12 月はホリデーシーズンのためプレビュー パッチ（第三週の C または第四週の D リリース）が提供されなかった関係で、セキュリティ以外の修正内容は現場でのプレビューなしで現場に正式投入！（追記：昨年末までの既知の問題のほとんどは、未解決っぽい）
