Windows Admin Center (WAC) のアイコンが □ ばかり

Windows Admin Center (2110.2) の クラスター マネージャーで、ウィザードとかダッシュボードとかの一部がなんだかおかしくなって 1 週間以上、悩む。□ アイコンばっかり (OK は緑い□、警告は赤い□とか、情報は背景色の濃いの□)。チェックボックスもドロップダウンリストのＶも□。

Cluster Manager 拡張機能のバグなの？ と思って使いにくいながらも作業してたけど、

検証：Windows 11 ver 22H2 は外部タイプの Hyper-V 仮想スイッチを壊す？

本日 (9/21 JST) の Windows Update － 2022-09C と Windows 11 22H2 GA に追記したことですが、気になったので仮想マシン環境で検証。

1. Windows 10 ver 21H2 で「ターゲット機能更新プログラムのバージョンを選択する」ポリシーを使って、Windows Update で ver 22H2 をゲットだぜ。

Azure Marketplace からの with Containers イメージの削除、9/22 → 10/3 (PT) に延期 → 復活、削除は来年4/30に再延期

こんな通知が来た。

"Important Update – Deprecation of Docker Virtual Machine Images Extended to 3 October 2022"

Mirantis が代替イメージ（VM コストに Mirantis のサブスク コスト含む、サポートは Mirantis）を用意するみたいだけどまだ確認できず。 

9/23 追記： Mirantis イメージ出た

9/23 追記2 ：with Containers が Azure ポータルからは 9/22 (PT) に削除されてるけど、実際にはまだ残ってるってこと？ 

10/1 追記3： 10/3 に削除は延期ってことだったけど、その後、またこんな通知が来た。"Important Update – Deprecation of Docker Virtual Machine Images Extended to 30 April 2023" Microsoft による MCR のサポートを含め、2023/4/30 まで延長されたらしい。

10/7 追記4: やっとメール通知以外のアナウンス出た。

Mirantis Container Runtime から Docker CE/Moby への切り替え

Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR、旧称、Docker Enterprise) のサポートが Microsoft が提供しなくなる。運用環境ではないので、Mirantis の有料サブスクリプションを購入するのは選択肢にない (MCR 20.10.13 が 8/11 に出てたけど無視してた） 。というわけで、無料（オープンソース）の Docker CE/Moby ランタイム (mobyproject.org) に切り替え。

インストール スクリプト  install-docker-ce.ps1 が用意されたので、コマンドライン一発でできるように。

今日（?）の Windows Update ... Why ?

 ［更新プログラムのチェック］をクリックしていないのに、Windows 11 に .NET Framework の 2022-08 C (KB5016594、8/25 リリース) が勝手にインストールされ、再起動しろと言われた。納得がいかない。

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS と Azure Arc Enabled Server (現状、NG)

Azure Arc Enabled Server を Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS に入れようとしたら、"Retrieving distro info from /etc/os-release..."でストップしてしまう。同様の現象を以下に発見。結論は、Azure Arc Enabled Server でサポートされるオペレーティング システムに 22.04 LTS は含まれないから。先に確認しておくんだった。

Microsoft Edge も v105 (105.0.1343.25、← edge://version によると、Chrome/105.0.0.0 ???、Google Chrome の最新版は Chrome/105.0.5195.54) に。Stable Extended と別れて、こちらは 104.0.1293.78。ポリシー テンプレートも更新版出てるので、使っているならお忘れなく。

『インサイド Windows 第 7 版 下』(日経 BP) が本日より発売開始 (amazon.co.jp  となりました。一部の書店では、昨日から棚に並んだみたいです。『インサイド Windows 第 7 版 上』(日経 BP) から 4 年以上長く空きましたが、ようやく第 7 版 完結です。

amazon.co.jp に加えて、Rakuten ブックス、honto、紀伊国屋書店からも購入可能。amazon には電子版 (Kindle 版) も。電子版は自分の過去の本を含めて、実際に見たことはありませんが...
