Windows 10 Oct 2020 Update ではなく、その前の May 2020 Update のほうがブロード展開

Windows 10 May 2020 Update (version 2004、os build 10.0.19041） 、去年 5 月のリリースから 8.4 か月、252 日（＝5038 時間＝362880 分＝21772800 秒）かかって、ようやくブロード展開始まる... だそうです。

つまり、「半期チャネルのリリースサイクル」 ＜ 「リリースからブロード展開開始までの時間」ということに。ちょっと遡ってみたら、ver 1909 頃から無理が出てきたような... それともそういう方針（少しずつ自動更新を増やしていくの結果）になったんだっけ？

まだ ver 1909 以前の場合、Windows Update の自動更新でアップグレードされるかもです。Home 以外のエディションでサービス期間中（＋60日）のバージョンなら、「ターゲット機能更新プログラムのバージョンを選択する」ポリシーでちょっと待ってができます。

自動更新で ver 2004 になると、オプションの ver 20H2 の有効化パッケージがすぐに出てきて、いつでも 20H2 に切り替えられるようになると思うけど、「ターゲット機能更新プログラムのバージョンを選択する」ポリシーで ver 1909 以前から ver 2004 を飛ばして 20H2 に行くこともできると思います。
