Windows 7 ESU ありとなしをテストするダミー更新プログラム

（※2020/2/14 追記、このダミーの更新プログラムは利用できなくなりました。2020-02-B のマンスリーロールアップ KB4537820 とかで確認できます。Windows Update で ESU 向けのマンスリーロールアップを取得するには ESU ライセンス準備パッケージ（KB4538483 or KB4538484）も必要です。）

Windows 7 ESU のインストールをテストするための更新プログラムが出てました。

早速試してみた。



通常の Windows 7（ESU なし）の場合。ESU のキーでライセンス認証されていないと、ESU の更新プログラムはインストールできない。ESU 向けのセキュリティ更新プログラムは、Windows Update、Microsoft Update Catalog、WSUS で配布されるらしいけど、更新プログラムを入手できても ESU を購入してなきゃインストールできないってこと。

Azure VM の Windows 7（MSDN 向けのやつ、ESU あり）の場合。ESU のために特別な設定はなにもしていない。（オンプレの Windows 7 Pro/Enterprise 場合は MAK キーのインストールとライセンス認証が必要。）

追記）
ESU を購入しても Microsoft Security Essentials（MSE）の来年1月14日を過ぎると対象外にって保護されなくなるって記事がどこぞで出てるけど、定義の更新は継続、プラットフォーム更新はなしってことになったよ。

ESU の FAQ 更新されたのつい最近（12/17 頃）だけど。サポート終了 FAQ にも同じこと書いてるから、ESU ありなし関係なし。（海外記事を翻訳中に状況が変わってしまって残念な記事だけど日本ではその誤情報が拡散しちゃうかもね。）
